It's Finally Here!
The Roadster was supposed to arrive several weeks ago. But of course a winter storm clobbered the east coast just in time for the kit to be delivered from Wareham, Massachusetts to Peachtree City, Georgia. The kit was supposed to arrive before I left for Christmas in Salina, but the storm delayed the delivery date until the day after I left. I made arrangements for a friend in town (thanks Todd) to be here for the delivery. Todd helped Gary from Stewart Transportation unload and took a few shots. The picture of the man with the grey beard is Gary, not Todd. When I arrived back in town today I took pictures for the record before I moved or organized anything. I was surprised by how few boxes there were, but as I began itemizing everthing I realized that most of the large pieces (roll bars, side pipes, windshield, radiator, several independent rear suspension components, etc...) are arriving separately. What this means is that there should be a steady stream of delivery trucks out in front of the house for the next few weeks, and I'll need to organize the garage more.
